Conversational English Teacher for Japanese Church WANTED!

A great opportunity awaits you in the Rising Sun of Tochigi City, Japan!
Japan is one of the cleanest safest countries on earth.  Almost half the population of Japan has learned English for over ten years of their life yet has little opportunity to speak it conversely with a native speaker of English.  Most people don’t know that Japan is one of the least UnReached peoples in the World.  They have no concept of a Savior.  They only know of various “lucky charm gods”, and worship dead idols and ancestors.  Sadly  Japan has the largest rate of suicide in the world.  Every month close 4,000 people are lost to suicide.  English conversation is a fabulous bridge to be able to share the hope of Christ.
Mr. Sato shared:
“I came to the Conversational English class to brush up my English for the company.  I had no interest in the Bible.  Through the class I found a real God who offered me hope and confidence.  Today I am a pastor who now works for the Lord.”

David shared:
“I recently went back to Japan to where I taught Conversational English close to 20 years ago.  At the time I could not speak Japanese.  At a friends house I met 8 students who brought their old tattered English/Japanese  Bibles I had given them to read.  Each one of them shared with me that they had found Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and with tears testified that it was through the classes that they saw Christ’s presence work in their lives”

Jesus said, When you fast…….. Matthew 6:16,17

In October , I was diagnosed with debilitating Arthritis of the spine and Scoliosis.  I had three vertebrae in my neck which were almost  fused together.  Several doctors gave me no hope sharing that I would end up in a wheelchair with partial paralysis.
Things got progressively worse as I found out that I had systemic candid, which turned into Myofacial Fibromyalgia   I relied on shots in which my whole body was in excruciating pain, and there was never any relief for over 3 years.
During this time I tried natural foods and saw that God could heal me.  I felt a little better while I attended Bible prayer groups, yet I was still in great pain.
A missionary came to our church (SMI David Spurdle), who shared about the needs of Japan.  I desired to go but in my condition I declined the invitation.   Three items stuck in my mind that the team was going to learn and implement,  Fasting
                                                                  Unceasing 24 hr Prayer
                                                                  Lifestyle Evangelism
I was intrigued to experience  these rare spiritual disciplines. David told me, "Maybe you can't go, but you are to be a sender financially, and you can fast and pray for us."  "God will heal you completely!"
"Only Believe!"
As the SMI team were on their mission trip to Japan, the Lord reminded me,  And when you fast...."
On Wed. I decided to fast when the team in Japan was fasting for souls, and asked for Holy Spirit power.  As I was praying for them, the Lord in an instant; completely healed me of all my stuff.  I actually felt it lift off me and now I am back to living life, running, and exercising the way I use to.

Through all of this , my faith was tested, and strengthened, I gained wisdom, knowledge and understanding, saw the power of prayer, and most of all I have a deeper and closer relationship with the Lord Jesus.
To God be the Glory for all the ways He chose to heal and restore my body and life!

A Wonderful Story of Fruit in Japan

Yoshikazu from Northern Japan (3) 4
Yoshikazu Kasahara , was not a believer when he lost his home and most of his possessions in the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. But things began to change as he witnessed many Christian groups, including OMS, and SMI respond to the needs of the Japanese people. He was especially impressed to see Christians  being the hands and feet of Jesus when most of the other NGOs pulled out of Japan.
But things began to change as he witnessed many Christian groups, including OMS, and SMI respond to the needs of the Japanese people. He was especially impressed to see Christians  being the hands and feet of Jesus when most of the other NGOs pulled out of Japan.
So, Yoshikazu began asking questions  about Jesus. He had many biases … and didn’t want to believe, but the truth of the Gospel was too overwhelming to him … that and the compassionate response of Christians in the midst of disaster. Yoshikazu gave his heart to Jesus and soon received a call to ministry.
Today, he is studying at Tokyo Biblical Seminary in Japan and soon hopes to be involved in full-time ministry.
No, God is not yet finished in Japan!
There are over 35,000 people still living in temporary shelters.
Come and be the feet and hands of Jesus.  There is no other investment in life that compares to reaching the UnReached People of Japan

Burma Kids

Our goal has been to raise up a team every year from Japan and N.America to go for at least 11 days or more to help and assist the various orphanages and newly established  70 acre Bible School near Myitkyina, Myanmar.  Many of the children live on just one meal a

day.  Most people have not one Bible, yet many are very hungry for the Word of God.  We bring Bibles, Support, Theological training, building volunteer groups/ and outreach teams to help train equip and encourage the work.  Many of the kids that graduate from the school “go out” to the borders of China/India/Myanmar and plant the first “house churches” in “UnReached Areas”

BURMA/MYANMAR PLIGHT:  “Children are those suffer most in war”

As you and I in N. America race from the restaurant in our cars with appetites fully satisfied, around the World in Burma Myanmar a young child under six years old sits atop a huge brick pile breaking bricks into little piles so that he can bring a few cents home for the week to help support the family.  The young child you find out is a cousin by relation.  His parents are dead due to the civil war. Average income:  $25 month per family

“What are we to do?”

Over 25,000 orphaned children scrap to survive in northern Myanmar?Burma.  There parents are either dead or are slowly induced by drugs into death.  Burma has known only war since 1948.   This country is the oldest on-going war in the entire world.  There is suppose to be a “cease fire” yet 160,000 people fled to Thailand.  Continual war has eradicated about 175,000 children each year.  Over 10% of all children suffer severe malnutrition in families.  36% of the population in the country is under 15 years old.  Many children are orphaned, abandoned, trafficked, exploited in the labor force, jailed, used in drug running.  The cause is war.  A military regime is in power that has been rated along side Germanys regime in the 1930-40’s.

“Does it move you?”

“COMPASSION IS NOT SOMETHING YOU FEEL,IT’S SOMETHING YOU DO.”

“Pure religion in which our Father accepts is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

A middle aged pastor in one of the villages explained that he was not able to give each of his kids a Bible.  “They cost around $25 each.”  “They are the same ones used that your relative Adoniram Judson  translated in the early 1800’s.  Either I use my income of $25 to feed my family and two orphaned children, or buy a Bible and see my family starve to death.”  I then thought of all the Bibles I had in my own home.
Today every trip we bring in Bibles.

“Man shall not live on bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”
