China’s gov’t has seen a rapid growth in the house church movement that is seeing thousands upon thousands of people turning to Christ and being baptized in ice freezing waters. Police don’t dare trudge through freezing temperatures to break up and beat church meetings on the ice choked riverbanks to receive baptisms, it is easier to target “church buildings.” The police has launched this anti-church campaign to destroy the church.
In reality the underground church has surpassed the population of the USA church.
As one Chinese pastor answered me, “Don’t worry about us, your American Church needs what we have faced for years. “You have become lukewarm in your faith.”
